Put it on the table

Writer's Digest, April 2007, as a prompt for a story contest, has this:
Write a scene in which a woman, under no threat of bodily harm, is forced to empty her purse.
Taken from The Pocket Muse: Endless Inspiration by Monica Wood.

I suppose we might also consider the variations? Write a scene in which a man, under no threat of bodily harm, is forced to empty... his pockets? His briefcase? His backpack? His wallet?

Actually interesting to consider the little pockets of stuff that we all gather and carry about with us. One of the comedians talked about the way we move into a hotel room -- and put some of our stuff around.

Anyway, write a scene about someone emptying out a small private collection.

and nothing up my sleeves?
